If you caught my Instagram stories from Thursday, you’ll know that my bestie Katie and I went on a Cotton Stem Capsule photo shoot adventure in the cool old downtown which houses all my favorite vintage shops. πŸ™ŒπŸ»

And…if you watched that nutty story, you’ll know that I had to change clothes in the back of my car. Because I’m a fancy model like that. πŸ’πŸ»πŸ™„πŸ˜‚

AND…if you tuned in, you’ll know that an old man was sitting in HIS car quite close to mine the entire time.
And we never noticed.
Until he waved and drove away.
πŸ˜³πŸ™ˆ
NEAT!!!  Old fart saw my lady lumps.  πŸ˜©
But hey man, you know what?
If post-nursing-four-babies-for-seven-years lady lumps get you going, old man, then something is WRONG WITCHU.  πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚

ANYWHO…  πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚
Back to biznass.

I pulled together this outfit from my spring/summer capsule, and I’m chanelling my inner Diane Keaton a la “Something’s Gotta Give” in this almost-all-white, flowy, soft hued look.  I love that movie.  However, I’ll never get the image of Jack Nicholson’s bare badonkadonk out of my mind.
😳
Aaaaaaaaaaaand now we’ve come full circle back to the topic of old men!  (I am OBVIOUSLY a professional blogger, guys.  On track, on message, never straying from the point.  #ProStatus)

Oh yes, another thing about this outfit: I don’t normally gravitate towards heels, because, at any given time, I’m wading amongst a sea of tiny kittens, balancing as I gingerly pick my way through the deluge of blocks, Barbies and baby dolls strewn about this madhouse, usually all while balancing a baby on my hip.  SO.  πŸ˜³  Heels don’t take up much room in my capsule, however, I like to keep a pair of comfy wedge sandals available for the spring and summer months.  While they are heels, they are not death-defying stilettos, nor am I left whimpering in pain after a few hours of wear.  These are a winner in my book…and so inexpensive!

What about you?  Are you a heels gal?  Do you also love Diane Keaton and wish to be her when you grow up?  Have you ever exposed your lady lumps to old men without knowing it…?

No?

Just me then…?
πŸ˜³πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‰

For a few spring looks similar to this style, check out the Cotton Stem Pinterest boards and follow along!  I’d also love to chat over on Instagram–come say hi!

Why yes I have accidently exposed myself to a strange man… The UPS man to be precise. I had just finished feeding my baby and I had clipped up my nursing bra, but not my nursing tank. So one boob (albeit, a bra covered boob… But still) was hanging out as I signed for my package. Yikes.

I’m loving your capsule series and I really want to try it! About how many outfits do you suggest creating for each season? I’m either all in or all out.. I rarely find that happy medium. lol

    • Erin Kern says:

Well, the whole point is sort of limitless outfit combos since they are all supposed to work together in some way or another, so I don’t set a certain number or anything. I try to keep the number of items around 35ish for one season, or, like right now I’m combining my Spring/Summer capsules, so my total number is closer to 50ish. I hope that helps!
