#CottonStemHearts… (Faux) Florals for Spring!

You guys have heard all about my blackest of the black thumbs, so I’ve just decided I’m probably better suited to styling with faux florals and greens…ha!!  πŸ˜‰  I wanted to share some of my very favorite flowers and greenery that I’ve used around the house this spring (affiliate links below!).  The possibilities are endless with these plastic pretties!  πŸŒΏπŸŒ·πŸŒ·πŸŒΏ  Group lots of tulips or ranunculus together for a grand statement, pop some succulents in little clay pots and sprinkle around the room for a fresh spring look, or combine any and all of the above for a beautiful wreath or topiary (tutorial DIY links below)!

Tell me: what do you think about using fake plants and flowers?  I know this used to be way taboo, but I’m tellin’ you what…they’ve got some pretty dadgum realistic looking stuff on the market these days, and I’m diggin’ it.  But…not literally.  Because I’m not actually PLANTING the flowers in the dirt.  See?  See what I did there?  Yes.  You’re welcome.

I’ve said it before, & I’ll say it again ;), but I just loveeee your floral ladder and embroidery hoop DIY’s for our sweet girl’s nursery! I’ve been itching to get in some greenery in her room to give it a little bit more natural vibe (& to play off our shabby vintage chalk pink farmhouse feel – can you tell I’m not a designer? No? πŸ˜‚) Anyway….. saw your post about hobby lobby greenery being on sale this week & it has me all sorts of inspired to try some sort of hanging planter diy project to put above our little glider/rocker chair in the corner but I tell you what, look up fake hanging planter tutorial on Pinterest & NOTHING! So if you have any ideas… feel free to share πŸ™‚ (you know, in all your spare time πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ ) OR.. maybe a cottenstemheartshangingplants ? πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ» πŸ™‚ thank you for all your lovely posts and inspiring me! This is @shariloveinspire ps.. not a stalker.. well except on IG πŸ˜‰πŸ’• ok bye!
