This is great! Just watched your stories, and I think I’m going to attempt the step 1 this weekend! Ahhhh!! Thank you!
I just watched your stories (I’m a CS addict- don’t judge 😂) and it didn’t seem like any were missing if that helps 😉 Still very informative even if they weren’t all there.
I have a lot of patterned clothes. Plus, I’m in Florida so it’s hot all year. There’s maybe a month or two of truly cold weather and even then there’s warm days mixed in.
My two main struggles are: 1) Even though it’s hotter than blue blazes down here, I freeze at work. So I find myself wearing pants and long sleeves most of the time. I don’t rotate seasonal clothes in my closet because I can wear a sweater in July. It’s bad.
2) I’ve always been a fan of bright colors and florals but that requires a lot of special care due to the fact that most of the items are only to be washed on the delicate cycle and can’t be put in the dryer. So then some stuff might be clean and some isn’t and I have a hard time picking what to wear. That’s the main reason I want a capsule but I’m afraid I won’t love wearing neutrals all the time.
If I took out 75% of my bright clothes or broke it down into seasons, I would barely have anything left hanging 😂 I think I’m just going to start hitting up Old Navy sales and getting some basics to get me started.
Maybe one day I’ll convince myself to commit. A project and change this big is just intimidating. Especially with a tight budget.
I so enjoyed seeing your capsule wardrobe on stories. I started doing a capsule wardrobe in the spring after following you for awhile and I love it! Thank you !
Hi Erin!
I know you said in your IG story that your muscle tank from Target is old but I got one from Target last week for $10! Score! Our Target only had dark heather gray left, but I love it, and it’s super soft.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Hi Erin,
I’ve been catching up on your capsule wardrobe series and am loving the tips! How do you manage your shoes with your wardrobe? I’d love to see your tip or picks for the seasons.
Thanks for the inspiration!
I started on Step 1 of my capsule last week. I had so many “work” clothes that don’t fit me anymore and that I won’t wear because now I’m a SAHM. Thank you for your tips! Your blog is awesome!!
Oh I’m so glad it was helpful for you!
This fall will be my first season trying to create and utilize a capsule thanks to you! I stress about what I’ll wear each day and I truly think this will help.
I jumped in and created my first fall/winter capsule! I wish I had this info years ago. I’m loving my new wardrobe! New being the key…it looks and feels new and more put together! One of my take aways was sadness over the wasted money spent on things that’ just aren’t me. My oldest daughter (27) was so impressed we are doing her closet this weekend! Thank you for sharing!
Oh yay!! I’m so glad to hear that!!
It was very helpful and thank you
