I know, guys.
I know.
π¬π
I can’t leave well enough alone!!
But I blame this one on my husband, so there.
You can see how this buffet was initially styled on my Instagram feed [HERE] Let’s just say…there was a touch of Rae. Rae Dunn Clay, that is. ππ» However, while I was styling this space for spring with the original idea a few months ago, my husband commented that it all sort of shaped up into looking like a potting table or shed area…but giggled at how I can’t keep any actual living plants alive.
Har har har. π
So I thought, hey man! I’ll show you a potting table made for FAKE PLANTS…my speciality. BOOM.
The hanging flowers and greens came from Michaels, and the little clay pots, faux plants and moss balls scattered about were all from Hobby Lobby, along with the supplies to make those little DIY topiaries (if you missed that DIY post, click [HERE] to check it out!). The vintage dough bowl I found on Etsy, and the washed wood planters came from Target!
I’ve since returned things to the original, more simple design (plus my dang kitties kept rolling the clay pots all around up there…π³), but I sure did love creating this little “potting table” look…even if it was created out of spite. π (JK I heart him. Real big. But…I’ve been known to be sassy, soooooo tease at your own risk, yo. π)
Either way, it sure felt good to create, to conceptualize, to play. I don’t know if this will make any sense, but sometimes I feel like if I don’t create or make something, I’m going to burst! π Anyone feel me?
Y’all…I sure do appreciate those who take a minute to come over here and take a peek inside my little world. Never planned on blogging again and was nervous to start, but you guys make it SO DANG FUN!! Please know how much I appreciate your time and kindness. HUGS! β€οΈ
Erin,
You are amazing! I wish you lived closer to me so you could come and decorate my home π‘! This is beautiful! Have a great night . Take care π
Hey Michele, me too!! π You are super sweet–thank you!
That’ll show him! π
I love that buffet and it really does look like a work area for making your "plants" come to life! Who needs real plants when the fake ones can be made to look that good?! π
You’re so inspiring and creative. I look forward to your posts every day!
Aww, that makes me smile–thank you!! Appreciate you reading along!
Such an inspiration!
Hey Chelsea, thank you for coming over to say hi!
Hi Erin. Do you have links for the greenery and flowers or the names of them? It’s hard to tell what they are on Michaels website. Thanks lady! Love everything you do!!
Hey Emily, no I’m sorry I don’t even remember their names!! It was kind of a grab-and-go trip, and now I’ve snipped off all the tags/labels. Next time, I’ll write that stuff down!
So cute!! A couple little random piles of dirt and the plants would look totally real π Hobby Lobby plants are looking so good these days.
Lord knows we’ve got excess dirt lying around this mad house…π©π And yes, I was loving them today!
Looks beautiful!! Love your style. Keep up the awesome work! ππΌππΌβ€οΈ
Hey Stephanie, thank you so much!
Appreciate you, Stephanie!
Love this! I’ve been toying with purchasing a vintage dough bowl for my dining table. Do you remember which Etsy shop you purchased from? Yours is gorgeous!
Oh man, I’m sorry I don’t! It’s been a couple years now, but I know it was sent over from eastern Europe somewhere…??
What did you use/ how did you hang the flowers from the ladder? They look great!
Once again sweet Erin, you blow me away! So much love to you… I’m searching around for the right place to send you a more personal ππ note, regarding my home and self.. I’ll figure this out-
Can you tell me what color you painted your buffet table? It’s so beautiful and I have one I just bought that I need to refinish. Thanks! Erin
Everything you touch~ is just lovely in every way! Such a ray of sunshine for my day today!βοΈ Thank you!
Thank you so much for this!
