So….it’s no secret that I’m a little obsessed with white.  White walls, white decor, white clothes, white white white.  I have a weakness for white clothes.  😬  Big time.  If anything was going to tempt me to break away from my #CottonStemCapsule process, it would be crisp white linens, a white v-neck, or some white button downs…or a white pair of distressed denim…or a white summer dress….SEE??  😩😂  And I know there used to exist some sort of “rule” about when one is and is not to wear white during the year, but, seeing as I could care less to remember said rule, I love to wear white allllllll year long!!  💃🏼  

Here are a few ways I like to use white in my summer capsule wardrobe!

1. White Tank With Distressed Denim

I love to pair a crisp, polished white top with some destroyed denim on the bottom.  The distressed jeans sort of help keep the classic white top from being too stuffy and boring, and the simple and sophisticated vibe from a white top brings the ripped denim back from being too much.  Throw on some cognac wedges and that favorite bag o’ mine, and boom.  Dress it up or dress it down….this look is one of my faves.

2.  Classic White Tee and Classic White Converse

Can I get an amen for Converse All Stars?  I mean, they are comfortable, classic and cute, and I can Mom so hard in these bad boys all day, errry day.  🙌🏻  I keep mine clean by spot cleaning with a bleach pen, wiping down the rubber toe and sides with a wet wipe, and when they are super dingy, I’ll just pop them in a garment back into the washer on gentle with some Oxy Clean detergent.  Pair them with a simple white tee, some denim shorts and a flowy, lightweight button down, and I’m summer ready.  AND Mommin’ ready.  Booyah.

3.  White Denim Skinnies

Now, while we can’t wear white jeans ALL weeks of the month (amiright, ladies?  TMI?  Meh, it’s a thing. 😉), I sure do love a pair of white skinnies in the summer.  Sure they might get dirtier faster than a pair of blue jeans, but….bleach pen, baby!!  Holler!!  🙌🏻😂  Pair with a striped tank and some comfy slide sandals, and the summer skinnies are complete!

4. White Linen(ish) Skirt

Another way white found it’s place in this year’s summer capsule was in this flowy, twirly, oh-so-comfortable white button down skirt–I’m in love!  At first, I was having flashbacks from my Mom’s early twenties, because I swear she wore this exact skirt at some point!  😳😂  But then I realized she’s been right about most everything else, so why not just embrace this most perfect of summer skirts?!  😉😍  I wore it here with that same white tank from above to create a more monochromatic look, but I also like to pair it with chambray or even black to switch it up.  Love this skirt so much!  Glad I added it this year!
