Did you guys know this is not my first rodeo when it comes to growing and running a blog?  I used to maintain a mommy blog with solid readership for many years, and one series that seemed to be a favorite of my readers was my “Mom-ify Me” series!  I’d take designer or super glam looks from Pinterest and then mom-ify them into something a little more manageable and realistic for a stylin’ mom on the go.  It was so much fun!  Thought I’d bring back this series over here on Cotton Stem for all my fashionista friends, and I hope you like it!

For our first Mom-ify Me post, I thought it would be fun to take a few gorgeous fall foliage, food and decor pics from some of my Instagram buddies and then use those color pairings and textures to inspire some stylin’ mama outfits for fall!

Anytime I see these high contrast cement tiles, I get all swoony, so pair them with perfectly pale pumpkins, and I’m over here getting all verklempt! 😉  I loved the mix of the soft, pastel, creamy, muted fall colors on the pumpkins, especially that peach-almost-warm-peach one, and the black and white really added an unexpected punch!

I can’t even handle the fall foliage juxtaposed with this navy lake house…gorgeous!!  The pale blue water and the soft grey sky add a dreamy, cozy aspect to this color combo, and I loved adding that pop of unexpected orange layered on top of neutrals like the navy vest and soft grey sweater.  Put me in this outfit and take me to this spot, pretty please!

We’ve done fall decor inspo, fall foliage inspo, and now…fall recipe inspo!  I was inspired by the warmth this picture created.  You just know this combo of yummy fall-ish ingredients is going to make a warm, delicious meal, and that inspired the components of this look!  Plus, those muted mushroom tones mixed with pops of warm metals, like copper and rose gold…YUM.  I’d eat this meal AND this look.😉
