Hey, pals! Spent the day creating my spring capsule wardrobe for 2020, and I wanted to share the process with you! If you don’t know what a capsule wardrobe is, I’ll link my easy 5 step process for beginners [HERE]. You can walk through the process with me in my capsule wardrobe blog series, and then meet us back here to continue!

A capsule wardrobe is basically a seasonal wardrobe curated down to only the items you truly love and love to wear, creating a closet experience that is clean, concise and helps you get dressed and out the door in no time! A capsule wardrobe also helps you spend less and be more mindful about your shopping habits while sparking creativity in creating multiple outfits out of only a few of your very favorite items. In my book, simplicity is best, and I love the ease and simplicity of a capsule wardrobe. A little work on the front end yields positive results all season!
For spring, I did a little closet cleaning and came up with these items (plus a few that were in the laundry piles…oops!!) for my Spring 2020 capsule wardrobe! I’m excited to document all the fun ways to pair items for daily outfits over on Instagram – follow along [HERE]!

Hi Erin! Thank you for taking the time to share everything with us. If you were still teaching, would you still do a capsule wardrobe? I am a high school English teacher and I have an overwhelming amount of clothing, most of which I do not wear. I am going to follow the capsule process but I am so used to having a different outfit for each day that I am afraid I will struggle with it!
Any cheaper options You love for your madewell tote?? I’ve been ogling it for a while.
Hey Erin! Might be a dumb question but this is the first capsule I’ve seen you do. Do you keep some pieces for every capsule? Like a same pair of jeans or shoes or sweater? Love your instastories!
These posts are my favorite!! I do my best to create a capsule wardrobe and really enjoy the inspiration you give.
I really need to do this! I’ve done capsule wardrobes for my kids before, but would LOVE to try one for myself.
Nice song choice ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
