14 Easter Basket Ideas

, ,

Hi all, and happy almost-Easter! In our home, we try to keep focus on the main reason for certain holidays like Christmas and Easter, but it is also so much fun to participate in the celebratory traditions with our kiddos, too! We haven’t really done much with the Easter Bunny (although somehow Santa is alive and well and hasn’t been outed yet, ha!), but we still love to do little baskets of goodies and maybe an egg hunt with the cousins, too. Since two of our girls have Celiac disease, we try to avoid food related goodies as basket fillers (we even do non-food treats for Halloween — see HERE for our blue pumpkin tradition!). Below are 14 Easter basket ideas for your kiddos focusing on non-food gifts and treats!

This year, I ordered those cool egg spinner decorator thingies, the bubble blower and the galaxy egg decorating kit to use with our cousins when we host an outdoor Easter lunch, and I kind of want those cute hanging planters for myself, ha! Do you guys do Easter baskets, hunting for eggs or anything? Mostly it’s a way for family to get together, celebrate our faith and enjoy the first peeks of the hope of spring weather after a long winter and Lent season. Hope some of these non-food treats are helpful!

What are some non-candy ideas to fill the Easter eggs? I do little candies, stickers, tattoos (which is not a fave, but small enough to fit). Do you have any other ideas?

My kiddos are now adults and married. They all STILL get Easter baskets! My go to items are a beach towel (How do they lose so many towels?) and a pair of flip flops or cute sandals. Everyone gets their favorite candy and non-sweet snack as well as their favorite beverage. The “basket” is usually a functional item like a large mixing bowl or decorative basket.

Towels are a fun idea! I need ideas to fill the Easter “eggs” for the Easter Egg hunt! 😉
        No candy 😬

Great ideas! Thanks! I also purchased one of those popular miniature light box kits to create messages on and fun Easter socks for my daughter’s Easter basket. Love your ideas!
