The sun is (mostly) shining, the birds are chirping, I spy some green on the ground and up in the trees…spring is here! It never feels like we’re gonna make it through that last winter push, but here we are on the other side and I’m ready for some spring style. I put together 8 spring capsule wardrobe outfit ideas for ya, and I hope this helps to visualize how a capsule wardrobe is supposed to work. Peek at my stories today (HERE) to walk through how to start a capsule wardrobe as I put mine together, and if you’re ready to try this out for yourself, you can start my pretty easy 5 step process HERE!
The purpose of a capsule wardrobe is to buy less, curate your closet down to only the pieces you love the most and that make you feel good while wearing them. If you put in a little work at the front end thinking through how each piece will coordinate with the others for that season, you’ll end up with a less crowded closet but the ability to quickly put together many outfits that all easily coordinate together! Makes getting ready so much quicker, and it cuts down on excess shopping, too. To give you some ideas, here are a few outfit inspo pics from my closet to yours!
You can see above how many items can mix and match and be combined to create so many outfits from a very small number of items. It’s not so much about how many items EXACTLY to have in a seasonal capsule. The point is to try to move away from shopping just to shop, and instead invest in fewer but better quality items that you genuinely love and that will last you season to season! Hopefully this helps if you are thinking of getting started with your own spring capsule!
