We just returned from a truly magical trip to Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, MO with my family, and we got alllll the good Christmas vibes in the process!  Here’s a little glimpse of our trip and what you can do when you visit Big Cedar Lodge with your own fam!  Thank you again to BCL for this amazing adventure!!

Big Cedar Lodge is a family-friendly resort with lodgings of all types and sizes nestled in the trees of the Ozark Mountains.  This time, we stayed in the Villa at Integrity Hills, and with six bedrooms, seven baths and multiple kitchens and living rooms, this would be the perfect accommodations for multi-family vacations or a family reunion! We’ve also stayed in the cottages and loved them, too.  There are shops and places to eat or grab a coffee or a sweet treat all on the grounds of BCL, and there are so many fun activities for the kiddos, too!  You’d never really even need to leave the resort to have a blast!

We’ve been vacationing at Big Cedar for years, and one of our very favorite times to visit is during the Christmas season!  They do it RIGHT for the holidays, y’all!!  Every twinkle lights as far as the eye can see, a fun “faux” iceskating rink complete with hot chocolate under the stars, campfires and “sleigh” rides pulled by a vintage truck, ornament painting and a whole slew of Christmas activities for kids, and they’ll even send a Christmas elf to read a bedtime story to the children…how cute is that?!?!?  Not to mention the massive Fun Mountain, an arcade and game center for kids complete with rock climbing, go carts and “underwater” bowling.  SO FUN.

This year, we ventured over to Wonders of Wildlife, an award-winning aquarium and wildlife museum, and it was seriously THE COOLEST aquarium we’ve ever visited!  We intend to go back again when we have even more time to explore…the kids had a blast, and so did the parents!

Another adventure we took this year was to see Sliver Dollar City all lit up for Christmas!  It’s such a magical place during the holidays, and basically every surface of the place is lit up with twinkle lights!  Hot chocolate, apple dumplin’s, a viewing of A Christmas Carol play, a holiday parade and more Christmas magic that you could imagine…and my mama’s heart is always all a’flutter when I watch my kids LIGHT UP as they experience the magical feeling that Silver Dollar City Christmas brings!  It’s another must-visit if you go during the holidays!
