Our family embarked on a new little adventure together recently: opening a vintage booth at one of our favorite (and most frequented) local antique shops in Claremore, OK!  This is something I’ve dreamed of trying for quite some time, and I’m interested to see how this pans out!

It’s no secret that this gal has a love for all things chippy, repurposed and unique, and through antique shopping for clients and my own home, I’ve come across many vintage treasures that have meaning to me…but I’m running out of room, ha!  😉  I wanted a place to part with some (SOME!!) of my precious treasures where I could be assured they were going to good homes.  Letting them go at a garage sale just didn’t feel…right??  (Side note: I think I’m too emotionally attached to my antique finds, ha!)

Doors opened, the Nudge was felt, and our family decided to make this a group effort.  That has been my favorite part of the whole thing: working as a team with my favorite people!  My older three girls help me with stamping, lacing and tying tags, the littlest “helps” me “clean” some of the dustier pieces, Mr. Stems is a true hero hoisting and loading, unloading and hoisting all the goodies for me, and my MIL has even got in on the family action by going picking with me to gather up stock for the booth!

It’s already been such a neat way to teach the girls by SHOWING them what hard work means, and they are also learning about how to earn money, being patient while they wait for their own booth contributions to sell, and the value of being part of a family team.  ❤️

The Cotton Stem Booth has been a whole lot of hard work up front (and y’all sold us out in about three days, dang!! 🙌🏼), but I truly feel God placed this little moment in our family’s story, and I am excited to continue working as a team with my five favorite humans.

If you are ever in the Oklahoma area, stop by Sailor Antiques in Claremore, OK, and if you visit the booth or style a piece from the booth in your home, tag me on Instagram!  As I can, I’d love to repost and share how others style the treasures, too!  Thank you to those of you who have already sent so much love and virtual hugs over on IG – you guys are the BEST!!

Congrats!!! Our family has taken a little vendor teamwork like this and worked together to make it a full time lifestyle with Cowboy building custom furniture and selling as a family on the road and from a beautiful old barn in our tiny town. Sometimes I question the unique lifestyle and the impact on our kids but we believe the values they are learning of hard work, strategy and working as a family will far outweigh “normal” Congrats!! Coming though Oklahoma over the weekend and hope to stop!

I love that you are able to do this with your family 🙂
I started blogging as a way to earn income to be home with my family but often times find it pulls me away from them. So this was a wonderful reminder that it doesn’t have to.
