Have you been listening to “Into the Unknown” on repeat since November in your house, too? The girls are into it in a big way, and since two of them have winter birthdays and chose to have an experience over a gift/party this year, we thought it would be fun to do a sister slumber party to celebrate Disney’s Frozen 2 coming out on digital this week! They had a BLAST and asked if we could keep the living room like this forever. 😉

I found the cutest little A frame tents online (FYI they were only $40 when I ordered about a month ago, so maybe wait for a drop in price!), and we set up inexpensive kid-sized air mattresses, cozy blankets and a camp “fire” for their watch party! Grabbed some Christmas lights out of a closet and blew up some balloons for “snow,” too.

For some simple, snowy fun, I found packets of just-add-water “snow” for the girls to use while they played with their Frozen toys from Christmas. Eventually they dumped all of the extra shimmery beads from necklace-making in here, and we had a full on sensory bin moment going! 😉

Next up, gluten free cupcakes! Quick decorating tip: ice the cupcakes (or buy store-bought like this mama…), fill up bowls with sprinkles of different colors and just let them dunk and swirl the cupcakes to cover them in a blanket of snowy sprinkles! Makes way less mess than having them actually drop sprinkles from above, plus it makes for a dense, pretty coating of color. Top with inexpensive Frozen 2 cupcake toppers from Amazon, and done!

Love these girls and love making memories with them! And I kinda wish I’d grabbed one more tent for ol’ mom, too. 😉 Now the real question is how long am I going to have to leave these tents in the middle of my living room before they’ll let me take them down, ha!

You are the sweetest Mom! I love watching you make memories with your girls. I’m over 50 and have no children, but want one of these little tents for myself. Keep doing what you’re doing. Some of my favorite memories are my Mom & Dad surprising me and my brothers & sister with little experiences and getaways, even if it was just for ice cream. I remember those a lot more than presents which were forgotten after a bit.
