Fun Cement Tiles and Vertical Shiplap!

We are making progress on the shed-turned-playhouse for the girls, and today we made a few updates: the arrival of some fun cement tiles and vertical shiplap that will be painted pink! The girls wanted to pick the colors, so a few weeks ago I let them choose between a few black and white cement tiles. They liked them but I did hear them wondering if there were maybe other colors besides black and white. I did some perusing and scored these green and white flower tiles for half price! Russell cut shiplap while I nailed, and then we laid out some of the tiles to get a peek at what it will look like very soon. Love it and I think the girlies will, too.

Next on the list is to add some trim pieces, install that white light fixture, maybe do something cute on the exterior (window boxes, perhaps?), and then organize the girls’ situation in there. They are already out here all the time crafting and painting and playing house or school, so I think they’ll love the finished project, especially with today’s addition of fun cement tiles and vertical shiplap! If you want to see a few more views, check out THIS blog post or visit my IG stories HERE! What do you guys think? Digging the pink, green and white combo as much as I am, or would you have stuck with the black and white tiles?

Those half-price cement tiles were a brilliant find! Green and white flowers sound absolutely adorable, and I bet they’ll pop perfectly against the pink shiplap. The black and white options were nice, but these just add a whole new level of whimsy and magic. I have to admit that the graphics in house of hazards are quite nice and I really enjoy playing it.
