After months of emails, meetings, concept planning and a trip to New York to the company’s studio, my custom rug line with Well Woven is finally here!! (See my NYC design trip HERE!) It was such a cool experience to be part of the design and curation process from the start, choosing colors, patterns, textures and even the names for each rug! I truly believe there is something for everyone in this line of rugs, and I can’t wait for you to see them all as they are released over the next few months! (PSSSSTT…sneak peek of the next rug to be released is at the end of the post…!!)
Each rug was named after a character from my favorite novel, Pride and Prejudice, because my book wall creation featuring a quote from that novel was what sort of launched my Instagram account four years ago. Creating this my custom rug line with Well Woven is such a huge milestone along my journey that I wanted to pay tribute to the book that started it all!
The Jane
First up is the Jane rug named after the author of Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen. Since it’s my favorite book, it made sense to include all of my favorite colors within this first rug! Rusty hues paired with teal blues, mustard yellow hints mixed with pale pinks set on a neutral (stain resistant + disguising!) neutral backdrop make it a great fit for any style! Harvey seems to love Jane, too. 😉 Vintage vibes for the win!

The Darcy
Next up is the Darcy rug! In the book, Darcy starts out as a very black-and-white, stark and serious character, but in the end, readers see him soften and bend the lines a bit…which makes us love him even more! Similarly with the Darcy rug, I wanted a black-and-white modern farmhouse vibe, but just a bit softer. I loved the charcoal and cream that moves away from the stark contrast of black and white, and I love the hand-drawn vibes on top of a neutral backdrop in this rug so much! I added fun tassels for an extra bit of whimsy. Even Darcy can have a little fun now and then. 😉

Hi Erin!
I love your rug, the Jane! I plan on getting it for my house, but I was wondering what kind of other rug you have layered underneath it? I love the combination!
I love the Jane rug! I’m considering buying it, but my only concern is that it might have too much mauve, not enough rust color to look good with my quilt that is white with a terra cotta pattern. I also like the Bingley. I’ve been shopping on Well woven and wanted to check out your website. Love your style!
