Romantic Staycation in Tulsa

If you’ve ever wondered what there is to do in Tulsa, we have some ideas! We went for a romantic staycation in Tulsa organized by Taylor Tate and generously sponsored by the local businesses mentioned below. We just moved into Tulsa from an area suburb, and this was such a fun way to start further exploring our new city! Here are some of our adventures!

WELLTOWN BREWING ROOFTOP IGLOOS

These rooftop “igloos” are such a neat idea, especially during this time in our world. You can reserve a heated igloo, order Door Dash and grab a drink from Welltown while you cozy up with blankets, music and we’d suggest bringing a board game, too! With views of downtown Tulsa, this is a really romantic (or just really fun!) way to dine out these days. We hope to go back at night soon and take advantage of the twinkly lights and night time views.

SWEET TREATS IN TULSA

sugar cookies

During our romantic staycation, we were sent some sweet treats that were almost too cute to eat! These delish and adorable cookies came from OK Cookie Momsters, and they have GF options, too! They even made our three kitties into cookies…awww! Definitely can’t wait to take the girls to one of their decorating classes soon.

chocolate box

Another Tulsa favorite of ours is Glacier Chocolate…look at those little edible jewels and pretties! Not pictured: a delicious chocolate cake that I may or may have not called dibs on so I don’t have to share with my family. 😉

THE COLLABORATIVE COFFEE + WINE BAR

On one evening away, we stopped for charcuterie and wine at The Collaborative, a cool coffee and wine bar (with adorable outdoor seating for warmer months!), and the food and drinks were so so yummy. The art is all done by Tulsa locals, and they will soon offer a coworking space and wine locker for parties with friends when we can safely gather again! For sure will be back to visit The Collaborative.

THE AMBASSADOR HOTEL + CHALKBOARD RESTAURANT

We stayed in a gorgeous suite at the top of The Ambassador Hotel in downtown Tulsa with beautiful views and beautiful accomodations. Their style is so fab, and it feels like you’re stepping back in time to the 20’s era! For breakfast, we had delish fare from the Chalkboard downstairs in the hotel, and every time we eat there, we love it! Great brunch options if you are ever visiting Tulsa. So thankful for our night away!

breakfast in bed

During our weekend away, we were treated to the loveliest bouquet of tulips from Mrs. DeHaven’s, and every local business we partnered with was so accommodating and kind. If you are ever in the area or are a Tulsa local, give some of these spots a peek! You’ll be glad ya did! Thanks again to Taylor and all the businesses for a much needed kid-free escape for Mom and Dad this Valentine’s Day month!!
