Welcome, friends!
If you are joining me from the Styled + Set Blog Tour after visiting My Soulful Home (gorgeous, right?!?), I thank you for taking the time to stop by and say hello! This blog tour is so much fun for me and I’m getting so many ideas…you see, Easter is one of the only holidays that I get a chance to host as we are usually traveling to visit family for the others. I’m so excited to put into practice a few of the awesome tips the ladies of the Styled + Set Blog Tour have put together, so be sure you stop by the rest of the blogs today (links at the end of the post!), and big thanks to Lory of Designthusiasm for organizing this fun event!

For our family, Easter is the culmination of the season of Lent, where we spend time pausing to reflect, pray and be purposeful in our life and focus on Him. After this season of sometimes somber reflection, to us, Easter is a true celebration of joy! It holds a dear place in my heart, and I very much love to invite family and friends over to celebrate the start of a new season, a fresh outlook on what has passed and what has been promised. While decorations certainly aren’t the main focus, I do like to use them to create a beautiful space for my favorite people as we gather to celebrate! Here’s what I put together for this year’s celebration…
(Vintage-esque plate set | Metal chairs | Light fixture | Chargers)
I like to do a kid-friendly table/room as well with little crafts or fun things to do as a family, but some of these more “themed” holidays can throw me for a loop when it comes to decorating the “grown-up” areas. 😉 I thought this year I’d go with a simple, easy, subtly spring look in the dining room where we’ll host our Easter lunch, and to accomplish this vibe, I used a mix of vintage or vintage-inspired pieces accented with fluffs of lavender and lamb’s ear. The soft, subtle greens and pale purples of these (….ahem…faux…) plants hint at the turning of the season and help get us excited for the coming of bright spring colors and a fresh, new feel! I’m so ready for the happy pops of color that spring brings, and, while it’s still feelin’ pretty wintery up in here, I decided to try and start subtly crossing that transition line with these lovely, pale faux florals. (And hey…we can’t all be green thumbs, you know. I am lucky to keep a dadgum succulent alive, so three cheers for realistic faux greens, ha!)
(Glass bottles | French tin set | Lavender stems | Lamb’s ear stems)
Layered vintage-vibe dishes and shiplap chargers adorned with sprigs of lavender and lamb’s ear atop a grain sack table runner…antique sea-glass green bottles running the length of the table…baskets of happy flowers surrounding the mantle and hanging on the walls…these are a few easy, subtly-spring touches that you could add to your home, as well! If you’ll be hosting family and friends for Easter as we will, consider a simple, subtle, fresh vibe with neutrals and florals, either fresh or faux. This season is about so much more than it’s decor…but designing a lovely space can be a way to welcome and honor your guests, and I hope this fun blog tour brings a few fresh ideas your way today! Thanks for hopping through, and be sure to go next to Maison de Pax for more Easter entertaining ideas…you will love her home!
Hugs, buddies,
❤ERIN
