Valentine’s Day Ideas for the family

Valentine’s Day is going to look a little different for us all this year. If you are trying to figure out what to do with your family, I’ve made a list of fun (and simple!) activities and projects we have done in the past and I’m sure will do again! From sweet (GF) treats to easy DIY projects, there’s an idea for all! See below for links to our Valentine’s Day ideas for the family!

DIY TIE DYE

While you’re home this Vday weekend, you and your littles could try taking an old pair of sweats or PJ’s and do this DIY tie dye project together! Parents need to do the handling of a lot of it bc it involves with bleach, but the end result is fun for all. Click HERE to see how we made ours!

WHIPPED STRAWBERRY MILK

Frothy, sweet, whipped strawberry milk for milk and cookies! This easy recipe (HERE) was a hit with the girls, and, side note…pairs well with cookies. Or Valentine’s sweet treats. 😉

HEART “BALLOONS” CRAFT

Aren’t these little “balloon” hearts so cute?! We saw something similar on Pinterest last year and decided to make something of our own to celebrate! The girls did almost all of the crafting for this one, and I helped them arrange the hearts on the wall. Easy craft for you and your littles – linked HERE!

DADDY DAUGHTER DATES

The girls’ very favorite tradition each year on Valentine’s Day is their date with their Daddy. They dress up, go out to eat (this year it’s take out) and just spend time together! Their favorite boy ever. HERE’s a glimpse of their dates!

DIY HEART GARLAND

Another simple DIY you can do with the kiddos, our DIY heart garland (HERE)! You could even simplify by using construction paper and twine. It would be fun to make this the night before Valentine’s Day and surprise them when they wake up!

(GF) “LOFTHOUSE” STYLE COOKIES

Need some cookies to go with that whipped strawberry milk? Try these Lofthouse copycat sugar cookies (we make the gluten free), and we used letter cookie cutters to spell LOVE. Had fun baking with my buddy! Click HERE for the recipe!

Hope you guys have a great Valentine’s Day together whatever you might be up to and that these Valentine’s Day ideas for the family could be useful to some of you! We are going to stay around the house and Dad’s coming up with some fun stay-home ideas for the girls this year. Love their tradition and sending you guys love today, too.
